Our Source & Attribution Commitment

Good information deserves to be preserved—and the people and sources behind it deserve recognition.

Since 2008, WhatSellsBest has been building an independent archive of reported treasure discoveries, research resources and the pathways used to uncover extraordinary value.

As part of our mission, we strive to provide clear, ethical attribution to the publications, researchers, auction houses, museums, specialists and other sources whose work helps inform our archive.

Whenever practical, we provide direct links so visitors can investigate the reporting, explore additional evidence and conduct their own research.

We believe human judgment and AI-assisted research can work together to make valuable information easier to discover, organize and understand. But technology should support responsible research—not replace source attribution, independent verification or human judgment.

Our goal is to help preserve useful information, recognize the work behind it and keep reliable research pathways accessible to journalists, collectors and the curious.

Discover the treasures. Follow the sources. Continue the research.
